.SYNOPSIS FOR HIGH ISLAND TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL OUT 60 NM...
Light to moderate northeast winds will prevail today as an upper
level disturbance moves across the area. This disturbance will
also increase the coverage of the showers and thunderstorms
through this evening. Onshore flow returns on tomorrow and will
persist through the week. An increase in winds and seas is
possible towards the end of the week as a potential tropical
system moves into the Central Gulf.

40’00 FW at MLT. The length on the final approach from the Houston, Galveston, Texas City tri-channel split is approximately 6 miles, the width is approximately a 400 ft bottom, the Turning Basin is approximately 4,200 ft long and 1,200 ft wide with a maximum
deep draft of 45 ft FW at MLT, and is navigable day or night with no air draft restrictions. Only TX City Docks with 45’00” maximum deep draft at MLT are TC # 41, & 42
