.SYNOPSIS FOR HIGH ISLAND TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL OUT 60 NM...
A surface cold front has pushed offshore overnight, with winds
shifting northward in the wake of its passage. Post-frontal winds
look to hold around 20 knots through the remainder of the
morning, and a Small Craft Advisory remains in effect for the bays
and coastal waters through 10 AM as a result. Winds and seas
decrease heading into the afternoon as surface high pressure
builds into the area. A reinforcing front will move into the
waters Tuesday night causing winds and seas to build once again.
Caution flags and/or advisories are likely to be needed at that
time. As the surface high pushes eastward, onshore flow should
redevelop on Thursday.
