The dredging of the Houston Ship Channel between beacons 66 and 72 has been completed. The 42’ restriction to Exxon has been lifted. The HSC is good for vessels with a draft fresh water of
45’ up to Exxon. The HSC from Exxon to Shell still has a 41’ draft restriction. The contract for this portion of the channel has been let and work should begin in the next few days.<span-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">

A cold front will cross the region today. Much colder temperatures
will move into Southeast Texas with freezing temperatures expected
by midnight over the north by 3 AM over the south. A Hard Freeze
Warning is in effect for areas generally north of Highway 105.
Wind chill values will fall to below 13 degrees over the north
and a Wind Chill Advisory is in effect for parts of the region.
A Wind Advisory may be required for the immediate coast later
tonight in the wake of a cold front. Sustained north winds could
reach 25 mile per hour with gusts reaching 30 miles per hour.
