.SYNOPSIS FOR HIGH ISLAND TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL OUT 60 NM...
Low pressure over the Big Bend will lift out to the east-northeast
along a cold front eventually pushing a cold front through
Southeast Texas tonight and into the coastal waters early Thursday
morning. Strong thunderstorms will accompany the frontal passage.
Pacific high pressure will build into Texas Thursday maintaining
the offshore flow in the wake of the front before weakening
Thursday night. A second surge of dry air through the Plains will
push through Friday morning. High pressure slides out over the
Gulf Friday night with winds becoming light and variable. By
Saturday morning persistent southeasterly flow develops and will
continue through mid-week.
