.SYNOPSIS FOR HIGH ISLAND TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL OUT 60 NM...
Light onshore winds will gradually increase today and tonight as lee
side pressures fall. A cold front should push off the coast around
midday Friday with moderate to strong offshore winds in its wake.
Expect some showers and isolated thunderstorms along the front.
Small craft advisories will be required behind the front, and
cannot rule out some gusts to near gale force Saturday night
offshore. Winds and seas begin to diminish later in the day
Saturday as high pressure builds into the area. Look for the
boundary to return as a warm front late Sunday into Monday as the
high moves off to the east.

40’00 FW at MLT. The length on the final approach from the Houston, Galveston, Texas City tri-channel split is approximately 6 miles, the width is approximately a 400 ft bottom, the Turning Basin is approximately 4,200 ft long and 1,200 ft wide with a maximum
deep draft of 45 ft FW at MLT, and is navigable day or night with no air draft restrictions. Only TX City Docks with 45’00” maximum deep draft at MLT are TC # 41, & 42
