.SYNOPSIS FOR HIGH ISLAND TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL OUT 60 NM...
Moderate to strong onshore flow well offshore should be weakening
by mid-morning. Showers will be developing today ahead of a cold
front that moves through the coastal waters this evening. Strong
gusty offshore winds follow in the wake of the front through
Wednesday afternoon. Another storm system will likely develop a
coastal low pressure system that moves through the coastal waters
with east and northeasterly winds Thursday into to Friday morning.
The weekend looks dry.

40’00 FW at MLT. The length on the final approach from the Houston, Galveston, Texas City tri-channel split is approximately 6 miles, the width is approximately a 400 ft bottom, the Turning Basin is approximately 4,200 ft long and 1,200 ft wide with a maximum
deep draft of 45 ft FW at MLT, and is navigable day or night with no air draft restrictions. Only TX City Docks with 45’00” maximum deep draft at MLT are TC # 41, & 42
