.SYNOPSIS FOR HIGH ISLAND TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL OUT 60 NM...
Winds and seas are expected to remain fairly calm today with the
pressure gradient across the area continuing to be weak. As
Tropical Depression Cristobal approaches the Gulf Coast this
weekend, expect increasing winds and seas beginning on Saturday
and lasting through early next week. The storm remains on track to
strengthen slightly after re-entering the Gulf of Mexico, and is
currently forecast to make landfall in Louisiana on Sunday night.
However, some uncertainty remains regarding its track and mariners
across the coastal waters should continue to monitor the latest
tropical weather information closely.
