.SYNOPSIS FOR HIGH ISLAND TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL OUT 60 NM...
A band of showers and thunderstorms is continuing to develop and
move to the southeast across the Gulf waters this morning. Gusty
winds, heavy downpours, and waterspouts will be possible in this
line of convection. Gusty offshore flow will becoming more
southwesterly through the morning hours. Tropical storm Barry is
over the Louisiana and should drift slowly northwest. Outer bands of
showers and thunderstorms can be expected into Monday. Winds and
seas will be locally higher in and near these bands of
precipitation. South and southeasterly flow returns by Tuesday.

40’00 FW at MLT. The length on the final approach from the Houston, Galveston, Texas City tri-channel split is approximately 6 miles, the width is approximately a 400 ft bottom, the Turning Basin is approximately 4,200 ft long and 1,200 ft wide with a maximum
deep draft of 45 ft FW at MLT, and is navigable day or night with no air draft restrictions. Only TX City Docks with 45’00” maximum deep draft at MLT are TC # 41, & 42
