.SYNOPSIS FOR HIGH ISLAND TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL OUT 60 NM...
Surface high pressure building over northern Texas will bring light
east-northeasterly flow today through Saturday. This high is
expected to lift to the north on Sunday bringing a return to light to
moderate onshore flow through the first half of the week. Isolated
showers and thunderstorms may form during the early morning hours in
the coastal waters bringing localized gusty winds. The chance of
showers and thunderstorms increase on Monday.

40’00 FW at MLT. The length on the final approach from the Houston, Galveston, Texas City tri-channel split is approximately 6 miles, the width is approximately a 400 ft bottom, the Turning Basin is approximately 4,200 ft long and 1,200 ft wide with a maximum
deep draft of 45 ft FW at MLT, and is navigable day or night with no air draft restrictions. Only TX City Docks with 45’00” maximum deep draft at MLT are TC # 41, & 42
