.SYNOPSIS FOR HIGH ISLAND TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL OUT 60 NM...
A moderate to strong onshore flow will develop today and will persist
through Friday morning. Small Craft Advisories will be needed this
evening through Friday afternoon across the waters. A cold front with
associated showers and thunderstorms will push through late Friday
afternoon through Friday evening. Moderate to strong northeast winds
will develop and strengthen and seas will increase in the wake of the
front. Lingering showers and embedded thunderstorms are anticipated
Saturday and Saturday night. Gradually decreasing northeast winds and
lowering seas can be expected Saturday night through Monday. Moderate
southeast winds return to the area starting Monday night.
