.SYNOPSIS FOR HIGH ISLAND TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL OUT 60 NM...
Moderate to strong onshore winds are expected to continue through
this evening, approaching 20 to 25 knots in the overnight hours
and into tomorrow morning. As a result, caution flags have been
extended through 4 AM Sunday for both the bays and coastal
waters. A Small Craft Advisory will go into effect for the
offshore waters beginning at 4 AM Sunday, and will extend to
include the nearshore waters at 10 AM. A surface cold front
will move through the area Sunday afternoon, accompanied by
showers and thunderstorms. A mainly moderate offshore flow
will develop in its wake, and offshore flow will persist through
Tuesday. Mainly moderate northeast winds can be expected Monday
night through Wednesday night.
