.SYNOPSIS FOR HIGH ISLAND TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL OUT 60 NM...
A cold front will continue to slowly move across the coastal waters.
Decreasing fog coverage can be expected behind the front. As strong
high pressure builds into the area from the north, look for strengthening
north winds and increasing seas beginning late tonight or early on Thursday.
Caution flags will likely be needed. Stronger north winds and rough
seas can be expected late Thursday afternoon through early Friday morning
with gale force wind gusts possible. Seas will come down and winds will
diminish and return to the southeast on Saturday. The next cold front
is expected late Sunday night or early Monday morning.

40’00 FW at MLT. The length on the final approach from the Houston, Galveston, Texas City tri-channel split is approximately 6 miles, the width is approximately a 400 ft bottom, the Turning Basin is approximately 4,200 ft long and 1,200 ft wide with a maximum
deep draft of 45 ft FW at MLT, and is navigable day or night with no air draft restrictions. Only TX City Docks with 45’00” maximum deep draft at MLT are TC # 41, & 42
