.SYNOPSIS FOR HIGH ISLAND TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL OUT 60 NM...
Some patchy fog has developed in the Bays and along the coast this
morning thanks to some left over moisture. This will dissipate in
the early to mid-morning hours thanks to a cold front that is
expected to move off the coast.
This front may trigger some showers
and thunderstorms in the Gulf Waters beginning around sunrise and
lasting through noon. Caution flags remain through the mid morning
due to seas of 4 to 6 feet, then the seas will decrease after the
frontal passage along with offshore flow. The wind shift will be
short lived as southeast winds quickly return Thursday night and
into Friday. Another cold front is expected to move through the
region Friday night resulting in moderate northeasterly winds over
the weekend.

The Texas City Ship Channel is approximately 11 miles from GB Buoy
