This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of Southeast Texas..
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight
Tropical Storm Cindy will move northward through the day and she
is forecast to be located over Arkansas by early Friday morning.
Trailing bands of showers and thunderstorms feeding into Cindy
may rotate across the region through the afternoon. These bands
may produce a quick 1 to 2 inches of rainfall that could produce
some very short term minor flooding of low lying areas or roadways.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday
Heat indices will range in the 104 to 108 F range Friday. An
approaching weak frontal boundary will stall somewhere over the
region this weekend. This will provide the needed focus for
periods of weekend into early work week showers and thunderstorms.
the strongest storms may put down damaging wind and high rainfall
rates that could initiate flooding.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation will likely not be needed.
