.SYNOPSIS FOR HIGH ISLAND TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL OUT 60 NM...
Today expect increasing north and northeast winds in the wake of
a cold front that pushed through overnight. High pressure behind
the front will move east of the region on Wednesday allowing an
onshore flow to re-develope.
Winds and seas increase Thursday and
Friday. Periods of sea fog could become an issue closer to the
coast during this time period should wind speeds be lower than
forecast.
The next cold front and associated showers and
thunderstorms is expected to push through late Friday night and
Saturday morning.

40’00 FW at MLT. The length on the final approach from the Houston, Galveston, Texas City tri-channel split is approximately 6 miles, the width is approximately a 400 ft bottom, the Turning Basin is approximately 4,200 ft long and 1,200 ft wide with a maximum
deep draft of 45 ft FW at MLT, and is navigable day or night with no air draft restrictions. Only TX City Docks with 45’00” maximum deep draft at MLT are TC # 41, & 42
