A large swath of showers and thunderstorms will move through the area and bringing heavy downpours and strong to severe thunderstorms. Rainfall totals of 1 to 2 inches will be likely with some isolated areas receiving 4 to 5 inches in just a few hours and could lead to street flooding. In addition isolated strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible with the main threats of severe weather will be brief weak tornadoes and damaging winds and in the stronger thunderstorms possibly small hail.
