In southeast Texas...Brazoria...   Chambers...Fort Bend...Galveston...Harris...Liberty...   Matagorda and Wharton.   * Until 1 PM CDT this afternoon   * An upper level disturbance will be passing overhead today and   generate showers and thunderstorms across the region. On   average, 1 to 3 inches of rain can be expected over the watch   area. Most of the region can handle these totals with minimal   impacts. However, a surface boundary situated closer to the   coast may focus periods of much heavier downpours and lead to   some much higher rain totals...possibly in excess of 5 inches at   some locations. This would lead to some flash flooding issues   such as street, creek and possibly river flooding. Pinpointing   exactly where this boundary will be situated is difficult as it   could meander north and south through the morning and early   afternoon hours.   PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...   A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.   You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.   &&   $$

Isolated tornadoes cannot completely be ruled out closer to the coast.   .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday   Another chance of showers and thunderstorms is expected Tuesday afternoon and evening ahead of a cold front.
