Good morning. Unfortunately, dry dock at Bradys island salvage operation still going on, but completion unknown and may be further long.

Using James’ notes

Here is the update from the call this morning.

Summary of restrictions as of 0600 Saturday, 09 September 2017:

* Galveston Bay Entrance Channel, Outer Bar Channel, Inner Bar Channel and Bolivar Roads Channel are open 24/7.

* Galveston Harbor is open 24/7.

* Texas City is open 24/7.

* Bolivar Roads Anchorages are open 24/7 - Short duration use for bunkering, inspections and other husbandry.

* The Houston Ship Channel is open 24/7 below Sidney Sherman Bridge with draft restrictions;

-Entrance Channel to Baytown Highlines - maximum 42';

-Baytown Highlines to Shell - maximum 41';

-Shell to Houston Cement West - maximum 40';

-Houston Cement West to Sidney Sherman Bridge - maximum 36'

* Houston Ship Channel transits between the Sidney Sherman Bridge and Buffalo Bayou require prior approval by Director, VTS Houston/Galveston.

* Intracoastal Waterway Open 24/7 High Island to Brazos Floodgates.

* Port of Freeport is open 24/7 to maximum 38' draft.

· NWS: No significant changes for us.

· ACOE: Closure on GIWW at Colorado Locks continues. Dredging began yesterday working in the River, and working to secure a 2nd dredge to work west of the west gates up to the mouth of the Matagorda Bay where shoaling has been found. Hope to have that 2nd dredge on contract today. Dredge working Freeport Entrance Channel, and hope for updated surveys by middle of next week, and might be able to increase the depth some (will take 30 days or so to get fully dredged back to normal draft). Another dredge is working Galveston Inner Harbor, dredging mostly pre-storm shoaling. Another is going to address shoaling around Bayport, and hope to have that under contract in about 5 days. Also awarded the obstruction contract to address the obstructions that were found in the Bay and Upper reaches of the Houston Ship Channel. They have to first get their dive plan and schedule submitted, and will then start coordinating salvage efforts with VTS.

· NOAA: Brazos River Floodgates are now open for traffic. Flow a bit over 2 mph (allowing 1 loaded to 2 empties to pass). Caney Creek Swing Bridge is currently closed and broken, but they are working on it (awaiting further updates on when it will be repaired).

· USCG: Tows can move past the sunken dry dock near Brady’s Landing when the divers are not in the water. If an urgent need, contact VTS and they will help coordinate a move if needed.

Nothing new to add today. Again, if you have urgent issues, please let me know and I will try to help get those expedited. Otherwise, enjoy the cooler weather this weekend and do what you can to help others in need.

Next call tomorrow at 09:00.

Thanks and best regards
