Subject: | NWS Update: Sea Fog Potential | Date: | Sunday, December 03, 2017 | Priority: | Normal | Notice: |

Subject: NWS Update: Sea Fog Potential
Bottom Line
Fog has developed and become dense over the waters near the Bolivar Peninsula. An environment generally favorable for sea fog will exist until a cold front arrives Tuesday.
Satellite and webcams show that some dense fog has developed in the Gulf waters in the general vicinity of the Bolivar Peninsula. However, webcams show that visibility is better farther down the coast, on Galveston
Bay, and deeper along the Ship Channel.
A marine dense fog advisory is in effect until 10 am. This is a relatively conservative advisory to begin. We may see improvement as the sun continues to rise this morning. However, the environment is generally
conducive for sea fog and so the fog may continue or return later.
This environment will remain in place until a cold front arrives Tuesday. At this time, we're expecting the front to push off the coast in the early afternoon.
