.SYNOPSIS FOR HIGH ISLAND TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL OUT 60 NM...

High pressure nestled into northeastern Texas will have local bay

and nearshore northeast winds remaining light today. The pressure

gradient between high pressure over the southern United States and

the Caribbean will be tight enough to maintain moderate offshore

northeasterlies veering southeast into Friday. Onshore winds by

early Friday will pull in warmer and more humid air across cooler

shelf waters. This will increase the probability for Friday and

Saturday sea fog development.
