Showers and isolated thunderstorms along with possible fog will continue

until a cold front moves off the coast and through the coastal waters

this evening and overnight. Elevated winds and waves behind the front

can be expected tonight through Monday. Onshore flow briefly resumes

midweek before another cold front reaches the waters Thursday or Friday.

Effective October 24th, 2017

The dredging of the Houston Ship Channel between beacons 66 and 72 has been completed.  The 42’ restriction to Exxon has been lifted. The HSC is good for vessels with a draft fresh water of 45’ up to Exxon.  The HSC from Exxon to Shell still has a 41’ draft restriction.  The contract for this portion of the channel has been let and work should begin in the next few days.<span-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">
