nautical miles including Galveston and Matagorda Bays

.SYNOPSIS FOR HIGH ISLAND TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL OUT 60 NM...

A few showers remain over the eastern offshore waters, situated

along the frontal boundary this morning. Moderate to strong

northerlies will prevail behind Thursday's cold frontal, and wave

heights will increase by Friday afternoon. Wind speeds will begin

to weaken and veer, becoming onshore by early Sunday. A coastal

trough will skirt the upper Texas coastline Saturday and should

produce showers. High pressure will create an onshore pressure

gradient across the local waters that will produce persistent

easterlies through mid week. Warm and more moist air over cooler

shelf waters may create periods of dense sea fog from Sunday

through Tuesday.
