.SYNOPSIS FOR HIGH ISLAND TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL OUT 60 NM...
A cold front is pushing off the coast which should clear out the
sea fog over the next few hours. Behind the front strong north to
northeast winds are expected which will build seas. A small craft
advisory is in effect for today into tonight. Winds and seas
should subside overnight into Thursday. Moisture returns to the
region on Friday into Saturday with southerly winds. Sea fog will
be possible again Friday night into Saturday. Another cold front
will push off the coast some time Sunday into Monday.

The dredging of the Houston Ship Channel between beacons 66 and 72 has been completed. The 42’ restriction to Exxon has been lifted. The HSC is good for vessels with a draft fresh water of
45’ up to Exxon. The HSC from Exxon to Shell still has a 41’ draft restriction. The contract for this portion of the channel has been let and work should begin in the next few days.<span-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">
