.SYNOPSIS FOR HIGH ISLAND TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL OUT 60 NM...

Light winds tonight will establish as easterly, then slowly veer

to become southeast through the day today. Sea fog may develop as

soon as late afternoon and carry into Saturday. Look for some

improvement as heavier rain and thunderstorms move in. Potential

for sea fog may return as the heaviest storms wind down Saturday

night until a cold front pushes off the coast Sunday morning.

Elevated offshore winds and waves will be possible behind the cold

front Sunday afternoon into Monday.

<span-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">The dredging of the Houston Ship Channel between beacons 66 and 72 has been completed.  The 42’ restriction to Exxon has been lifted. The HSC is good for vessels with a draft fresh water of 45’ up to Exxon.  The HSC from Exxon to Shell still has a 41’ draft restriction.  The contract for this portion of the channel has been let and work should begin in the next few days.<span-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">
