.SYNOPSIS FOR HIGH ISLAND TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL OUT 60 NM...

Winds will become east to southeast tonight and Wednesday. Sea fog

is expected to return to the area, and a Marine Dense Fog Advisory

will probably be needed. Fog could linger until a cold front moves

off the coast Friday evening through early Saturday morning. Winds

that will become northeast behind the front will swing around to the

southeast Saturday night through Sunday morning and strengthen into

the start of next week.

<span-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">The dredging of the Houston Ship Channel between beacons 66 and 72 has been completed.  The 42’ restriction to Exxon has been lifted. The HSC is good for vessels with a draft fresh water of 45’ up to Exxon.  The HSC from Exxon to Shell still has a 41’ draft restriction.  The contract for this portion of the channel has been let and work should begin in the next few days.<span-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">
