.SYNOPSIS FOR HIGH ISLAND TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL OUT 60 NM...

Periods of sea fog...some possibly dense...are expected to persist

for the remainder of the week and on into the weekend. Otherwise,

light to moderate onshore winds will continue. A weak cold front

may stall right along the coast late Friday night or Saturday.

Strengthening onshore winds and building seas can be expected late

in the weekend and on into the start of next week.

<span-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">The dredging of the Houston Ship Channel between beacons 66 and 72 has been completed.  The 42’ restriction to Exxon has been lifted. The HSC is good for vessels with a draft fresh water of 45’ up to Exxon.  The HSC from Exxon to Shell still has a 41’ draft restriction.  The contract for this portion of the channel has been let and work should begin in the next few days.<span-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">
