Subject: Cold Front arrives Saturday (Jan 20, 2019)

Good Morning,

Cold front will move through the local forecast area early Saturday (Jan 20, 2019). Dry and cold air will move across the region in the wake of the front and will quickly drop temperatures down into the near mid to upper 20s north of I-10.

Showers and thunderstorms, some with heavy rain and gusty winds, will move through the area Friday night into Saturday morning as the cold front moves across the region. Drier air and windy conditions can be expected in the wake of the front Saturday afternoon. Temperatures in the mid to upper 20s north of I-10 and low to mid 30s south of I-10 can be expected early Sunday morning.

No freezing or frozen precipitation is expected.

Marine interests: Sea fog development is possible across Galveston Bay area Friday morning. Northerly winds of 25 to 35 knots are likely and stronger winds may be possible in the wake of the front Saturday afternoon/evening. Small craft advisory to Gale is possible.
