Synopsis for High Island to the Matagorda Ship Channel out 60

nautical miles including Galveston and Matagorda Bays

313 AM CST Tue Feb 26 2019

.SYNOPSIS FOR HIGH ISLAND TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL OUT 60 NM...

Easterly winds will be slow to decrease offshore but should do so

this morning. Seas in offshore areas should also decrease but

there will at least be some leftover easterly swell. Another round

of showers and isolated thunderstorms is expected this afternoon.

A warm front will drift northward toward the coast during today

and tonight setting the stage for a return of sea fog as warm air

moves over the cooler shelf waters. The threat of sea fog should

persist Tuesday night through Saturday morning when the next front

is forecast to push off the coast.
