.SYNOPSIS FOR HIGH ISLAND TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL OUT 60 NM...

Moderate to strong offshore winds and elevated seas will slowly diminish

today and tonight as high pressure builds into the area. Winds will

turn to the east and southeast Wednesday and Wednesday night as the

high moves off to the east. Fog is expected to return beginning late

Thursday or early Friday and could persist into Saturday night or

Sunday morning. Good rain chances can be expected on Saturday.

<span-size:10.0pt;line-height:105%;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The ACOE project draft for the TXCSC is 45’00 FW at MLT from the GB BUOY to Valero Dock # 42, the channel above project draft is 40’00 FW at MLT.  The length on the final approach from the Houston, Galveston, Texas City tri-channel split is approximately 6 miles, the width is approximately a 400 ft bottom, the Turning Basin is approximately 4,200 ft long and 1,200 ft wide with a maximum deep draft of 45 ft FW at MLT, and is navigable day or night with no air draft restrictions.  Only TX City Docks with 45’00” maximum deep draft at MLT are TC # 41, & 42
