Vessels currently in the contamination area are not authorized to depart until decontamination is completed.  VTS Houston/Galveston directs all tow vessels transiting through the contamination zone between Tucker’s Bayou and LT Buoy 116 to maintain a 30 minute spacing to complete pollution inspection

High pressure over the mid Mississippi valley will bring east

the lee of the Rockies tonight and winds will veer to the

southeast. Onshore winds will remain in place through Saturday. A

strong cold front is expected to cross the coastal waters Saturday
