.SYNOPSIS FOR HIGH ISLAND TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL OUT 60 NM...

Weak high pressure is drifting away from the area, but should

keep light winds in the forecast through the afternoon. Starting

tonight, onshore winds will become stronger as the pressure

gradient tightens. Expect these stronger winds to remain for

several days. Confidence is growing in the potential for small

craft advisories at some point this weekend, though exact time

frames cannot yet be determined.
