.SYNOPSIS FOR HIGH ISLAND TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL OUT 60 NM...

After a hint of a land breeze early this morning, we should see a

return to light/moderate onshore flow for much or all of the day.

A weak cold front will approach the region, and winds look to

turn more southwesterly late tonight. On Tuesday, winds will veer

through the day, becoming northeasterly Tuesday night. These

northeasterly winds are expected to last into Thursday morning.

Wind speeds will pick up in the wake of the front, and SCEC

conditions may occur in a window from late Tuesday night through

Wednesday. Onshore winds will return Thursday night and persist

through next weekend.
