.SYNOPSIS FOR HIGH ISLAND TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL OUT 60 NM...

Northeasterly winds will be gradually relaxing today with seas

falling slowly as well. An area of disturbed weather in the

southwest Gulf will move toward the Florida panhandle on Friday.

Onshore winds will return Saturday night and persist through early

Monday. Depending on the strength of the disturbance in the Gulf,

winds may become strong enough to build seas and tides. A strong

cold front will cross the coastal waters Monday afternoon.

<span-size:10.0pt;line-height:105%;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The ACOE project draft for the TXCSC is 45’00 FW at MLT from the GB BUOY to Valero Dock # 42, the channel above project draft is 40’00 FW at MLT.  The length on the final approach from the Houston, Galveston, Texas City tri-channel split is approximately 6 miles, the width is approximately a 400 ft bottom, the Turning Basin is approximately 4,200 ft long and 1,200 ft wide with a maximum deep draft of 45 ft FW at MLT, and is navigable day or night with no air draft restrictions.  Only TX City Docks with 45’00” maximum deep draft at MLT are TC # 41, & 42
