A strong cold front will push off the Upper Texas Coast Monday evening. Gale force winds will be possible Monday night into Tuesday morning with rough seas.<span-size:9.5pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">

Overview<span-size:9.5pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">
<span-size:9.5pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black;font-weight:normal">A strong cold front will push off the coast around 6PM to 9PM Monday night. Strong northerly winds should develop behind it and increase to around 30 knots most areas after 12AM Tuesday. Wind gusts higher than gale force will be possible from 9PM Monday through 12PM Tuesday and a gale watch has been posted. Wind gusts should range around 40 to 45 knots (45 to 50 mph). Wave heights should peak around 10 to 13 feet offshore with 6 to 10 feet nearshore. Graphics below show the peak or maximum wind gust and wave height forecasted between 9PM Monday and 12PM Tuesday with maximum conditions most likely to occur 1AM to 8AM Tuesday with wave heights peaking closer to 5AM to 11AM Tuesday.<span-size:9.5pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">
