.SYNOPSIS FOR HIGH ISLAND TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL OUT 60 NM...
Light winds this morning will become southeasterly this afternoon.
Onshore winds will strengthen Wednesday as the pressure gradient
tightens in response to the next storm system developing and
moving into the Central Plains. Caution or Advisory flags may be
needed mid week. A cold front should move off the coast Friday
afternoon.

Fog is expected to dissipate later this morning and fog is anticipated to form again tonight and should dissipate Wednesday morning. Presently pilots have not suspended
boarding vessels in Houston, Galveston/Texas City and Freeport.

40’00 FW at MLT. The length on the final approach from the Houston, Galveston, Texas City tri-channel split is approximately 6 miles, the width is approximately a 400 ft bottom, the Turning Basin is approximately 4,200 ft long and 1,200 ft wide with a maximum
deep draft of 45 ft FW at MLT, and is navigable day or night with no air draft restrictions. Only TX City Docks with 45’00” maximum deep draft at MLT are TC # 41, & 42
