.SYNOPSIS FOR HIGH ISLAND TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL OUT 60 NM...

Light to moderate northeast winds are expected today as high

pressure begins shift slowly east. Winds should become more

easterly tonight. With the pressure gradient tightening in

response to the next storm system approaches from the

southwest... winds and seas will be increasing Saturday. A low

pressure system is forecast to develop near Matagorda Bay Saturday

night and could produce widespread precipitation and possibly

some brief sea fog Sunday morning before it departs to the east

Sunday afternoon.
