.SYNOPSIS FOR HIGH ISLAND TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL OUT 60 NM...
A cold front will cross the coastal waters this morning with a
moderate offshore flow developing. Winds will increase further
tonight and a Small Craft Advisory is in effect for the Gulf waters.
Winds will diminish on Thursday as high pressure builds into South
Texas. Onshore winds will return Friday night and remain onshore
through the weekend.

40’00 FW at MLT. The length on the final approach from the Houston, Galveston, Texas City tri-channel split is approximately 6 miles, the width is approximately a 400 ft bottom, the Turning Basin is approximately 4,200 ft long and 1,200 ft wide with a maximum
deep draft of 45 ft FW at MLT, and is navigable day or night with no air draft restrictions. Only TX City Docks with 45’00” maximum deep draft at MLT are TC # 41, & 42
