.SYNOPSIS FOR HIGH ISLAND TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL OUT 60 NM...
Winds are becoming increasingly onshore tonight, and should
persist for much of the weekend. Sunday may see winds become
briefly confused, but this will only be temporary.
These winds
will bring an influx of warmer and more humid Gulf air, and the
development of marine fog will once again be possible from early
Sunday morning through Tuesday.
A cold front should cross the
region late Tuesday with moderate to strong offshore flow through
Friday.

40’00 FW at MLT. The length on the final approach from the Houston, Galveston, Texas City tri-channel split is approximately 6 miles, the width is approximately a 400 ft bottom, the Turning Basin is approximately 4,200 ft long and 1,200 ft wide with a maximum
deep draft of 45 ft FW at MLT, and is navigable day or night with no air draft restrictions. Only TX City Docks with 45’00” maximum deep draft at MLT are TC # 41, & 42
