Synopsis for High Island to the Matagorda Ship Channel out 60

nautical miles including Galveston and Matagorda Bays

236 AM CST Mon Feb 17 2020

.SYNOPSIS FOR HIGH ISLAND TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL OUT 60 NM...

Dense fog is beginning to redevelop over the bays, and should

expand back to the Gulf late tonight. Like Sunday, there will be

improvements in the Bays and near the coast during the afternoon

hours on Monday but the fog is expected to return Monday night. A

cold front will push off the coast late Tuesday night or early

Wednesday that will bring an end to the fog threat and usher in

moderate to strong offshore flow through Friday. Expect scattered

showers on Wednesday and Thursday with the frontal passage. An

isolated thunderstorm is not impossible, either.
