.SYNOPSIS FOR HIGH ISLAND TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL OUT 60 NM...
Light winds and low seas will persist today as a cold front begins
sagging into southeast Texas. Expect strong north winds to develop
this evening...with frequent gusts to near or above gale force
between midnight and noon Wednesday. Winds and seas will gradually
diminish Thursday and Friday with surface high pressure in the
vicinity. Onshore winds will resume Saturday night and gradually
strengthen into early next week.

40’00 FW at MLT. The length on the final approach from the Houston, Galveston, Texas City tri-channel split is approximately 6 miles, the width is approximately a 400 ft bottom, the Turning Basin is approximately 4,200 ft long and 1,200 ft wide with a maximum
deep draft of 45 ft FW at MLT, and is navigable day or night with no air draft restrictions. Only TX City Docks with 45’00” maximum deep draft at MLT are TC # 41, & 42
