Synopsis for High Island to the Matagorda Ship Channel out 60

nautical miles including Galveston and Matagorda Bays

.SYNOPSIS FOR HIGH ISLAND TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL OUT 60 NM...

The passage of a weak cold front will result in an uptick in

offshore winds through the early afternoon so caution flags

continue for the Bays and advisories for the Gulf waters through

noon. Extensions of some of these products may be needed into the

early afternoon. Winds shift eastward heading into tomorrow and

decrease overnight before returning to near advisory criteria on

Saturday morning. Onshore winds are expected to redevelop on

Sunday as surface high pressure moves off to the east. A few

showers will be possible on Sunday night and into Monday as an

upper level disturbance moves across the region.
