.SYNOPSIS FOR HIGH ISLAND TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL OUT 60 NM...
Northeast winds are relaxing this morning as a warm front drifts
north across the coastal waters, moving inland after sunrise.
Onshore winds, light to moderate in strength, will return today
and persist for much of next week. Scattered light showers should
be expected early this morning, but they will gradually move
north along the with the front.
Some patchy sea fog may be
possible at times this week in the nearshore waters off of
Galveston and Bolivar.

40’00 FW at MLT. The length on the final approach from the Houston, Galveston, Texas City tri-channel split is approximately 6 miles, the width is approximately a 400 ft bottom, the Turning Basin is approximately 4,200 ft long and 1,200 ft wide with a maximum
deep draft of 45 ft FW at MLT, and is navigable day or night with no air draft restrictions. Only TX City Docks with 45’00” maximum deep draft at MLT are TC # 41, & 42
