Synopsis for High Island to the Matagorda Ship Channel out 60

nautical miles including Galveston and Matagorda Bays

249 AM CDT Mon Mar 23 2020

.SYNOPSIS FOR HIGH ISLAND TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL OUT 60 NM...

Warm and moist southerly flow will continue this week. Some patchy

fog and haze will be possible throughout the week. Gusty winds can

be expected tonight into early Tuesday morning over portions of

the Gulf waters thanks to low pressure developing in the lee of

the Rockies. That low will trail a cold front into Texas, but it

is expected to stop far short of the waters. A cold front reaching

the coast is not likely to arrive until a stronger one crosses

the region on Saturday.
