.SYNOPSIS FOR HIGH ISLAND TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL OUT 60 NM...

Onshore winds will continue through the weekend as an upper level

disturbance moves through the area. This system will bring showers

and thunderstorms on Saturday that could produce locally heavy

rainfall and gusty winds. The onshore flow on Saturday will be

borderline caution criteria but the seas climbing to 5 to 6 feet

in the offshore waters will likely lead to caution flags being

issued. The flow becomes offshore on Monday continuing through

Tuesday then onshore flow returns midweek.
