<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New";color:black">Special Tropical Weather Outlook issued to discuss the potential for

<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New";color:black">tropical cyclone formation over the southwestern Gulf of Mexico.

<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New";color:black">1. The remnants of Eastern Pacific Tropical Storm Amanda are currently

<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New";color:black">located over northern Guatemala.  This system is forecast to move

<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New";color:black">northwestward to northward within a broader area of disturbed

<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New";color:black">weather, and it could emerge over the southeastern Bay of Campeche

<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New";color:black">on Monday. If the remnants move back over water, environmental

<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New";color:black">conditions appear conducive to support some development, and a new

<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New";color:black">tropical depression could form while the system moves little through

<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New";color:black">the middle of this week. Regardless of tropical cyclone formation,

<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New";color:black">heavy rainfall is likely to continue over portions of southern

<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New";color:black">Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Belize, and western Honduras during

<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New";color:black">the next few days. For additional information on the rainfall

<span-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Courier New";color:black">threat, see products from your national meteorological service.  The
