.SYNOPSIS FOR HIGH ISLAND TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL OUT 60 NM...

Light to occasionally moderate east to southeast winds can be expected

through the end of the week. Increasing northeast winds and building

seas are anticipated over the weekend as low pressure moves into the

Central Gulf. This system has some potential to strengthen into a

tropical storm which could bring deteriorating conditions to the area

over the weekend and into the start of next week. The forecast track

of this system remains quite uncertain, and mariners are urged to keep

up with the forecast for this possible Gulf of Mexico tropical cyclone.
