.SYNOPSIS FOR HIGH ISLAND TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL OUT 60 NM...

A low pressure system over Matagorda Bay will move northwest

and inland early this morning. Showers and thunderstorms will

continue through at least early afternoon over the Upper Texas

Coastal Waters before diminishing in coverage. These showers and

thunderstorms should return overnight. Expect high winds and seas

in the stronger storms. Another tropical wave will move into the

area Thursday through Saturday bringing stronger winds and

frequent showers and thunderstorms. This system could develop into

a weak tropical system so mariners should monitor the weather

closely.
