nautical miles including Galveston and Matagorda Bays
313 AM CDT Wed Aug 12 2020
.SYNOPSIS FOR HIGH ISLAND TO MATAGORDA SHIP CHANNEL OUT 60 NM...
Light to moderate onshore flow will persist through early next week
as a surface high pressure remains centered over the Gulf of
Mexico. Nocturnal winds on the Gulf may approach the SCEC
threshold from time to time, but are generally expected to stay on
the low side of that mark. Seas are expected to be from 2 to 3 ft
through Wednesday and from 1 to 2 feet through early next week.
Isolated showers and thunderstorms will be possible at times with
increasing chances into early next week.
